Location: Crystal CityPosition OverviewThe Registered Nurse (RN) applies the nursing process to support patients in achieving and maintaining their optimum level of health within a people-centered approach in a 14-bed Acute Hospital and Emergency Department. The RN works at the full scope of practice, engages in ongoing education, and maintains competency consonant with Southern Health‑Sante Sud policies, Professional Standards of Practice, College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba, Code of Ethics, and the Regulated Health Professions Act.The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgement in determining work priorities, methods, and actions to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions consistently with the mission, vision, and values, and the policies of Southern Health‑Sante Sud and Rock Lake Health District.ExperiencePreference given to applicants with recent acute care experience (within 2 years)Certification / Licensure / RegistrationCurrent active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba and the scope of practice defined by the Regulated Health Professionals Act (RHPA)Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationCurrent Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificationCurrent Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) certificationTrauma Nursing Care Course (TNCC)
