Penticton Primary Maternity Clinic has an exciting opportunity for a casual Primary Health Care Nurse to join our team at Penticton Regional Hospital. We are seeking a confident, self-directed nurse who thrives in an autonomous role and is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Experience in perinatal care would be a valuable asset. This position works rotating day shifts from 08:30 to 16:30. How will we help you grow? Join our team as a casual employee, where you’ll enjoy variety, gain valuable experience, and have the chance to grow your career.

Work hours range from 0 to 37.5 per week, with shifts available on short notice or pre-scheduled to cover leaves. Many of our team members start in casual roles and transition into permanent positions. How will you make an impact? As the Primary Health Care Nurse, you are responsible for providing comprehensive and coordinated nursing care to clients in a primary health care, community or patient home setting through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care delivery.

Nurse assists individuals to achieve safe, realistic and reasonable healthcare goals and to maintain optimal health through the provision of information/health promotion, disease prevention and treatment/care management services. What will you work on?

The Primary Health Care

Nurse is responsible for working in collaboration with an inter-qualified care team and defined network of Primary Care Physicians/Nurse Practitioners. The goal is to conduct integrated care planning, offer client assessments/clinic visits, and provide ongoing monitoring and self-management support follow-up for clients (adults, seniors, pediatrics) and/or those with multiple chronic conditions, either in an individual or group setting and often directly within the family physician/nurse practitioner office.
