Procurement Specialist

Introduction

Our client is seeking a Procurement Specialist for a 5-month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing activities, maintaining supplier relationships, processing purchase orders, and supporting inventory and procurement operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong procurement experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

- Procure goods, materials, and services required to support business operations.
- Create, review, and manage purchase orders and requisitions.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and order status.
- Track orders and communicate delays, shortages, and supply issues to stakeholders.
- Monitor inventory levels and support replenishment activities.
- Review and maintain purchase orders through to completion and closure.
- Verify invoice accuracy and support the payment process.
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain vendor relationships.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with supplier agreements and company policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies.

Requirements

- Experience in procurement, purchasing,



supply chain, or a related role.
- Experience creating and managing purchase orders and requisitions.
- Solid vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to track and coordinate orders, deliveries, and inventory requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing orders and invoices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using procurement, inventory management, or ERP systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify process efficiencies.
