Program Support Coordinator
Indigenous Education
Location: Central Offices of the Board
Temporary Full time: 35 Hours per Week - Monday to Friday - 10 month Position
Effective: September 1, 2026; Duration: June 20, 2027

PREREQUISITES FOR POSITION:
- Successful completion of a college diploma in public relations, office administration or related field. Combined education with equivalent experience will be considered.
- Related work experience within a school board required.
- Advanced abilities in a digital environment utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting environments, student information systems, communication media, and other office equipment.
- Experience with managing social media accounts and websites.
- Experience with the structure and monitoring of school board funding models, Ministry reporting, the Reciprocal Education Approach and other grants.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to function effectively with administrators, managers, staff, parents, outside agencies, and community partners.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to take initiative to problem solve.
- Demonstrated discretion with confidentiality with sensitive correspondence and other personal information.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Exceptional scheduling abilities with calendar, projects, committee meetings, and other similar activities.
- Valid driver's license and use of a personal vehicle required.
KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Monitoring and maintaining partnership agreements and contracts.
- Scheduling school visits, central resource bookings; Manage complex calendars and coordinating system events and forums.
- Maintaining websites, internal portal pages and other digital repositories.
- Combined with point 5Complete Accurate and expedited data entry.
- Coordinating internal and community-based meetings and activities. Responsible for the coordination of Indigenous Education Council meetings.
- Processing department purchasing, invoices and payments.
- Facilitating community partner outreach.
- Creation of presentations and learning materials in multi-media to support learning initiatives
- Supports the school-based Jordan’s Principle application process.
- Documenting, monitoring, and reporting on the Board Action Plan for Indigenous Education.
- Provide support for family and community engagement.
- Ensure all applicable reports are completed and submitted to the Ministry of Education according to the timelines set by the Ministry of Education.
- Assist with the preparation, monthly monitoring and reporting of the department budgets, grants, schedule and other sources of funding.
- Assist in the coordination and preparation of learning opportunities for staff.
- Coordinate data collection and prepare information for analysis and reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.

The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board offers a Christ-centered education to over 13,000 students from Brant, Haldimand, and Norfolk counties, the City of Brantford, Six Nations of the Grand River and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. The district has approximately 2,100 full and part-time staff committed to supporting Belonging, Teaching and Learning, and Wellness for all. We currently have 28 elementary schools, 3 secondary schools and a multisite Alternative Education school, and 3 administrative offices.
