Join the First Nations Health Authority as a Community Health Practice Consultant in North Vancouver. This full time position focuses on empowering nurses through culturally safe education and leadership in health services.
Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing alongside three years of experience in community health nursing. You will be responsible for supporting clinical practices through culturally competent guidance while fostering nursing programs that respect First Nations cultural values. Effective communication and collaboration with FNHA leadership are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Educate and lead nursing staff in cultural safety • Support clinical practices with orientation and assessments • Develop and implement nursing programs reflecting cultural principles • Communicate respectfully with FNHA leadership • Collaborate in alignment with FNHA values
Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent • Three years of community/public health nursing experience • Current registration with BCCNM or eligibility • Current CPR certification required • Knowledge of healing practices preferred
