Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Project / Senior Water Resources Engineer (P.You will work on complex projects providing water resources solutions for a wide range of clients. Services would include a wide range of project types including water management support for mining and remediation projects, stormwater management planning studies and design; low impact development (green infrastructure) planning and design, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses including dam breach studies and floodplain mapping, surface water, watershed and stormwater runoff monitoring and modelling, industrial and construction site permitting support and inspections. - Providing senior technical input for delivery of water resources projects to our public, mining, industrial, private and First Nations clients
- Performing and overseeing detailed hydrologic and hydraulic studies, assessments,
modelling, preliminary and detail design, cost estimates, specifications and input to contract documents
- Developing innovative green infrastructure solutions for the urban environment
- Developing site-wide and tailings storage facility, life of asset water balance models for mining clients
- Applying innovative hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, from 1-D to 3-D flow and transport models
- In-stream and urban stormwater water quality monitoring and modeling
- Developing and executing field investigation programs and construction support services
- Preparing erosion and sediment control designs
- Task and project-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments
- Help broaden our reputation via publishing and visibility at prominent industry conferences. Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering, or a closely related discipline. Experience with modeling and design software tools such as EPA-SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS. (Valid Canadian driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
