Reporting to the V.P. Finance, the Property Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the daily accounting records of revenue generating properties for an assigned portfolio, as well as other projects as assigned. TASKS Maintaining the day-to-day accounting records for a portfolio of properties; Complete quarterly and yearly preparation & reporting of property financials including balance sheet and income statement;

The preparation of year-end financial reporting packages;

Accounting for sale transactions and new property acquisitions; Accounting for financing transactions, including construction draws and new debt agreements;

Government filings for GST/QST; Identify process improvement opportunities as well as the development and implementation of process solutions;

Assist with special projects as required What We Are Looking For Previous experience in public accounting and an understanding of the real estate industry is considered an asset but not essential.





Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook

Strong understanding of accounting systems and software, experience using Spectra, Simply Accounting and Building Stack is an asset

Robust oral and written communication skills
