Assignment

This temporary assignment is for 1.0 FTE. The successful candidate will support the Principal of Math 11, the Apprenticeship and Workplace Math 11, CLC 12, CLE 10, and other courses as determined by the needs of the timetable.

Qualifications and Responsibilities

- University qualifications and successful teaching experience at a secondary level in the listed subject areas.
- Current knowledge and ability to support students with behavioural, emotional, and career needs.
- Knowledge of the BC Graduation Program, post‑secondary entrance requirements, and ability to guide students with their education and career planning.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and community personnel.
- Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with children and youth.
- Ability to provide intervention, prevention, and mediation services to students through individual, group, and class work.
- Commitment to and practice of the philosophy of Inclusion.
- Embedding the First Nations Principles of Learning in all subject areas.




- Training and expertise in threat and risk assessment and critical incident and crisis response.
- Commitment to work toward achieving the goals of the School Growth Plan.
- Fostering a safe and caring student‑centred workplace.
- Cooperative, collaborative membership in a school‑wide instructional team, including participation in the School Based Team and attendance at required meetings.
- Commitment to consultation, parent conferences, and positive home‑school‑community liaison.

Applicants should be aware that attendance at staff meetings, professional development activities, and school‑based team meetings is considered an integral element of assignments.

SALARY: The starting annual salary for a full‑time teaching position ranges from $66,538 to $116,870, with placement on the range based on length of services and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. Additionally, a $3,500 annual Remote & Rural Allowance (effective July 1, 2026) is provided.
