Support is needed for weekends and statutory holidays in SW Calgary near Stoney Trail and Anderson Trail. This position is ideal for applicants living in the SW or SE with access to reliable transportation/personal vehicle.
Schedule
Split-shift setup:
● Morning Routine: 4 hours per day @ $23.00 / hour
● Evening Routine: 2 hours per day @ $25.00 / hour
● Overnight Coverage Option: $100 flat rate per night (provided on occasion when family/primary support is out of the home and overnight presence is requested).
Schedule Adaptability Needed: Because the employer works in the event hospitality industry, shift times are based on event timelines. We need an applicant who is comfortable with a dynamic schedule, open communication, and weekly schedule updates. While shift lengths are consistent (4 hours in the morning, 2 hours in the evening), start and end times vary from week to week. On occasions when primary family members are out of town,
there may also be opportunities/requests for overnight stays at a flat rate of $100/night.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with personal hygiene
- Providing bathing/showering assistance
- Dressing
- Physical therapy/stretching routines
- Meal preparation/clean-up
- Secure transfers using a mechanical power lift
- Light housekeeping related to daily care and keeping care areas clean and organized
Requirements
No Prior Experience Necessary — Full Training Provided: We care far more about your character and dependability than a lengthy resume. Comprehensive, hands-on training (including equipment operation and care routines) will be fully provided.
Flexibility: High degree of time flexibility to accommodate event-based shift adjustments and occasional overnight stays.
Background Check: Must provide a standard Police Information Check / Vulnerable Sector Check.
Languages: Fluency in English is required; conversational Spanish is an asset.
