- Perform Quality Assurance checks across our Food Manufacturing site. These include, but, are not limited to: CCP checks, GMP (Positive Manufacturing Practices) monitoring, pre-operational inspection, prerequisite checks, conformity of finished products throughout the manufacturing process, inspection of incoming materials, etc. to ensure all procedures are complied with and to confirm acceptance to required specifications

- Understand all QA documents such as HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) Plans, CCPs (Critical Control Points), pre-requisite programs, Standard Operating Procedures, and complete corresponding records, to ensure procedures and records are followed and completed appropriately.

- Conduct microbiological tests such as swabbing, air sampling, E. coli sampling

- Monitoring of the line CCP and record completion

- Monitoring and reporting of sanitation, pest control and housekeeping.

- Assist the QA Manager or HACCP Coordinator during the training of GMP, HACCP, allergens and CCP principles and duties in the production of safe and quality food products

- Participate in the investigation, tracking and resolution of customer complaints and returns.

- Assist in the calibration of scales, thermometers, metal detection equipment

- Participate in internal and external quality audits and operational reviews.

- Conduct quality audits.



Provide timely feedback to the QA Manager and the Plant Management on quality issues and recommend corrective actions preventative measures.

- Assist the QA Manager/HACCP Coordinator in orienting all employees on quality, regulatory and food safety principles and policies and in ensuring they remain current in their knowledge.

- Assist in microbiological sample collection

- Other duties, related to the position, will be assigned as required

- Flexible to work on weekends and night shift

- 8 hour shift (03:00Pm - 11:00PM)

Requirements:

- Certificate or Diploma in Microbiology, Quality Assurance or a related discipline, with relevant food processing experience.

- 2-3 years practical QA/QC knowledge in the food industry

- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP

- Strong understanding of manufacturing food processes.

- Proficient skill in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
