Role: QA Lead

Location: Toronto, ON(Remote)

Rate: CAD60/hr - CAD70/hr

- Lead end-to-end test planning and execution for Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter implementations.
- Validate auto and property insurance processes including online submissions, current business, renewals, endorsements, and policy administration.
- Design detailed functional, integration, and end-to-end test scenarios covering rating, underwriting, and policy lifecycle workflows.
- Develop reusable test cases, test suites, and test data to improve regression coverage and reduce production defects.
- Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) across Guidewire and connected systems such as document generation, payment processing, and external data providers.
- Execute System Testing (ST) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring thorough defect identification and documentation.
- Perform defect root cause analysis and collaborate with development and configuration teams to improve application stability.
- Create and maintain quality metrics dashboards including defect trends, test execution progress, coverage status, and release readiness indicators.
- Validate compliance with regulatory requirements, underwriting guidelines, and business rules for Property & Casualty insurance products.
- Partner with business analysts, product owners, and operations teams to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Support hybrid delivery teams by coordinating testing activities, managing dependencies, and ensuring effective communication.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for testing standards, frameworks, and best practices.




- Mentor junior testers on Guidewire functionality, insurance domain knowledge, and structured testing methodologies.
- Maintain comprehensive test evidence, documentation, and repositories to support audits, compliance reviews, and future project reuse.
- Demonstrate and communicate the business value of quality assurance activities and testing outcomes.

Qualifications

- Extensive hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter testing.
- Strong knowledge of Guidewire configuration validation, workflow testing, and integration verification.
- Deep understanding of Property & Casualty insurance, including:
- Online submissions
- New business processing
- Policy servicing
- Renewals
- Cancellations
- Proven experience designing and executing:
- Functional Testing
- Integration Testing
- Regression Testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Ability to interpret insurance product specifications, rating rules, and business requirements and convert them into effective test scenarios.
- Experience working in hybrid delivery environments using collaborative tools for planning, tracking, and knowledge sharing.
- Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools.
- Strong understanding of test design techniques, traceability, coverage analysis, and quality reporting.
- Ability to present testing insights and quality metrics to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Preferred experience supporting large-scale Property & Casualty insurance transformation programs using the Guidewire suite.
- Demonstrated track record of improving release quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency through effective testing practices.
