The Quality Specialist will assist in the development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of the HRLMP Quality Management System to meet patient, client and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include: facilitates quality improvement projects using quality tools and standard methodology, development and coordination of Standard Operating Procedures, coordination of internal audits, supports activities for internal audits and external audits such as Accreditation Canada - Diagnostics, monitors non-conformances, occurrence reporting, corrective/preventive actions and coordinates the collection and analysis of data for improvement opportunities. Development and coordination of applications for Paradigm3 Business Management Software. Coordinates and assists in the development and data analysis of client satisfaction surveys, collaborates to create mechanisms to capture data for key indicators within the LIS and Quality System Software, supports specific activities or projects within the Quality System development, implementation and maintenance. 1.

Technologist or BSc in a related science or Bachelor of Technology

Registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologist of Ontario (CMLTO)

- Demonstrated experience in Clinical Laboratory Medicine operations
- Demonstrated solid leadership, organization and facilitation skills, customer service orientation, problem solving and project management skills
- Demonstrated experience in the application of integrated computer systems software
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Quality Management Systems
- Demonstrated excellence in communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills, team building, and the ability to initiate and model positive change
- Knowledge of Laboratory Standards and Regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
