(Mississauga, Ontario, Ontario)Medical Education Specialist (Mississauga, Ontario, Ontario) Life Unlimited. At Smith+ Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.As a Medical Education Manager, you will be the driving force behind Smith+ Nephew’s Advanced Wound Management medical education strategy in Canada. Working with healthcare professionals, clinical faculty, and internal commercial teams, you will design, deliver, and evaluate education programmes that build clinical confidence and improve patient outcomes in wound care.Location: Mississauga Ontario, office based 3 days per weekWhat will you be doing?Design and deliver medical education programmes for HCPs across Canada, spanning NPWT, advanced wound dressings, and debridementIdentify and engage clinical faculty and KOLs to support peer-to-peer education, managing HCP contracting through established compliance processesLocalise global content for the Canadian market, reflecting local clinical practice, regulatory requirements, and bilingual considerationsPlan and execute national events, symposia, and simulation-based workshops, including faculty logistics and post-event evaluationBuild relationships with professional societies, nursing associations, and wound care specialist groups across CanadaTrack programme effectiveness using Return on Education metrics and maintain accurate CRM recordsEnsure all educational activities meet compliance standards within applicable grants frameworksPartner with the Canadian commercial team to align education activity with strategic priorities,



maintaining clear separation between medical education and promotionRepresent Smith+ Nephew at national wound care conferences and congressesWhat will you need to be successful?Clinical background in wound care or allied health, OR a life sciences degree with 5+ years of medical education or medtech experienceProven experience designing and delivering HCP education programmes, ideally within wound management or a related therapeutic areaStrong understanding of the Canadian healthcare landscape, including wound care associations such as CAWC and NSWOCExperience managing clinical faculty relationships with an understanding of FMV and HCP compliance requirementsStrong project management skills across multiple simultaneous programmes, vendors, and budgetsExcellent written and verbal communication in English; French is an advantageProficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and MS OfficeTravel Requirements:60% national travel for events and conferencesThe anticipated base compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $90,,000 CAD annually. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew.



Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
