At Humber River Health Our

Oncology team provides a full range of support to patients who are living with cancer, at all phases of their cancer experience - consultation, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and palliative and supportive care. We have a large Cancer Care Outpatient Clinic for chemotherapy treatments, and actively participate in Oncology clinical trials.

Humber River

Health was the first community hospital in Ontario to participate in these clinical trials. Right now we are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Cancer Clinic.



Our Oncology nurses specialize in treating people with cancer serving as their first line of communication as they help to coordinate and deliver many aspects of a patient’s treatment, including administering medications, fluids and cancer treatments such as chemotherapy.

Are you an experienced Oncology Nurse who is compassionate and has completed DeSouza Oncology courses?

Employee Status: Full Time Clinical Manager, Oncology Hourly Rate: $41.15 - $58.98 Hours: Monday to Friday 8 hour day shift Location: Wilson Site (Subject to change) Excellent Patient/Family teaching skills with an ability to promote patient centered care Care planning and coordination of care within a multidisciplinary team Utilization of computerized systems for documentation of patient care. Participation in project teams or Hospital committees as required. Preceptorship of nursing students and Mentorship of current nursing staff.

Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario ~ Excellent knowledge and skills in CVAD management and IV starts and infusion therapy ~ DeSouza Institute course Foundations in Oncology Nursing, preferred. ~2 years current experience in oncology required. ~ Current CNA, Oncology Specialty designation or eligible to write ~ An ability to work well independently with minimal supervision ~ An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset.
