Cormorant Island Community Health Centre (CICHC) - Alert Bay, BC V0N 1A0 CA (Primary) The Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing care to clients as a member of a multidisciplinary team; is responsible and accountable for coordinating and administering direct client care utilizing the nursing process; provides direction to staff and volunteers; and responds to emergency situations to safeguard clients, visitors and staff in accordance with the unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies, and the BC College of Nurses and Midwives Standards for Nursing Practice.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training and Experience Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant and two (2) years' recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.





Basic Life

Support, Level C required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support for Emergency Room, ICU and Critical Care preferred. Valid BC Drivers License.

Skills and Abilities - Apply the nursing process effectively in a well‑organized manner to the care of assigned patients.

- Physically perform the duties of the position.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Remain calm and act appropriately in stressful and emergency situations. Please note All RN positions at Cormorant Island Community Health Centre require Emergency Department experience.
