At Barminco Mining Services Canada Ltd., we are committed to fostering a culture that understands and values inclusion and diversity.The Opportunity:Barminco Mining Services Canada Ltd. has new exciting opportunities forUnderground Service Crewworkers at the Red Chris Mine in northern British Columbia. Working a FIFO rotation of 14-shifts on and 14-shifts off.Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, theUnderground Service Crew workeris responsiblefor installing, maintaining and repairing all underground services. The incumbent is expected to adhere to and maintain all company standards and perform duties to the highest levels of safe operation.Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):Demonstrate commitment to adhere to all Mine site safety rules, procedures and regulations, while ensuring the safety of others.Install, maintain, and repair all underground services e.G.: air/water/pump lines (using poly piping), messenger line, ventilation bags, temporary electrical cables, submersible pumpsin sumps, pump stations.Install grout, plate, and tension of cable bolts.Installing and removing communication equipment, ie Leaky feeder, tele remote comms.Assist with the construction work; ventilation walls, concrete forming/pouring, pump installations/plumbing.Safely use hand tools to undertake certain tasks.Practice good general housekeeping,



clean and maintain equipment to a high standard.Understand and comply with all PPE requirements in work areasOther duties may be assigned by your Supervisor, as requiredSkills and Experience:Minimum High School Diploma or equivalencyPreferred; 2-3 years of underground experience working as part of a service crewMaintain a valid Driver’s License; manual transmission experience an assetPerform other related work as assigned for underground development miningThe ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced, cross-cultural setting with high degree of professionalism and self-motivation is essentialProven ability to recognize and follow verbal and written instructionsAble to manage time, plan and prioritize workload to ensure support task meet mining requirements.Must have good radio etiquette and strong communications skillsEagerness to learn and growWork ConditionsAbility to do shift camp work on a rotational basis (dayshift/nightshift), typically the rotations are 2 weeks on site (minimum 12-hour days), followed by 2 weeks off – working statutory holidays as they fall within the rotationWhile performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to communicate, sit, stand, walk, climb, reach, push/pull, manipulate objects and work in awkward positionsDuties may involve moving materials weighing up to 50 poundsManual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination are requiredExtreme weather conditionsNoise level in the work environment is moderate to highWhat we offer:Competitive wagesNo-wait extended health and dental benefitsCharter travel from various hubsCamp accommodations and mealsMatching RRSP program after a 3-month waiting periodWage rate of $43.32 -48.52/hr depending on experienceNOTE:Selected candidates will have to successfully complete a pre-employment Fit for Duty medical which includes alcohol and drug screening.Please tell us in your application, if you are a member of the Tahltan Nation.Please include copies of your valid Trade Certifications and all other valid tickets you may have that are relevant to the role you are applying for.We look forward to reviewing your application, however only those selected for interviews will be contacted.#J-18808-Ljbffr
