Support A Black History of Photography project at Toronto Metropolitan University as a Research Assistant. Contribute to event planning, public engagement, and documentation, all while embracing equity and diversity. This MA-level Research Assistant role under Dr.

Gervais facilitates the SSHRC-funded project aimed at redefining photography histories by focusing on Black life and innovation. You'll engage with team meetings, take minutes, and collaborate with student volunteers. An interest in photography history and strong communication skills are essential for this position. Key Responsibilities:
- Take minutes during team-oriented meetings
- Participate in strategic planning discussions
- Promote events to students and academics
- Coordinate activities with student volunteers
- Create materials for workshops and symposiums Requirements:
- Interest in Black visual cultures and photography
- Experience in event planning and execution
- Strong public engagement skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
