Essential Kitchenware, a specialty retail store located in the vibrant Lonsdale Quay Market, is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This is a part-time position with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role for the right candidate.

As a Retail Sales Associate, you will help deliver an outstanding shopping experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of the store. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with people and takes pride in maintaining a well-organized retail environment.

Responsibilities

- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with product selection
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Receive, stock, and merchandise inventory
- Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive store environment
- Assist with opening and/or closing procedures
- Support general store operations as required
- Manage time efficiently to ensure all tasks are completed promptly during busy periods

Qualifications





- Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable
- Punctual and well-organized
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
- Flexible with scheduling, including weekends and holidays as required
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Quick to learn and adapt to new products and procedures
- Fluent in English; additional languages are considered an asset
- Solid basic mathematics and cash-handling skills
