Successful applicants will have some previous rock truck operation experience, however, McLeod Earthworks is willing to train the right applicant. Regular, overtime, and vacation time is paid out bi-weekly.

Experience / Skills Required

- Must have own vehicle to travel to and from the company headquarters north of Cochrane, or to and from various job sites in and around Cochrane and Calgary. No transit is available.
- Must have valid Class 5 Drivers License without learner’s restrictions
- Physically fit with the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must be able to follow direction, as well as work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must have attention to detail
- Adhere to safety and environmental procedures
- Operate rock trucks ranging in size from 30 to 45 tonne capacity
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks




- Inspect equipment, such as tires, fluids, lights, brakes, etc. to ensure equipment is fully functional and safe for operation
- Communicate with other operators and supervisors using communication tools such as two-way radios
- Perform required daily maintenance of equipment
- Previous heavy equipment operation and/or industry experience is considered an asset
