Overview An intern Machine Learning Developer will join a fast‑paced consulting team composed of Partners, Product Managers, Data Scientists, Architects and Software Engineers. The role focuses on conceptualizing, developing and deploying machine learning solutions to solve enterprise‑scale problems for external client engagements or internal initiatives.
Responsibilities Key duties include:
Design, prototype and deploy machine learning models on industry‑leading cloud platforms (IBM Cloud, Azure, AWS, Edge).
Work with technologies such as GenAI/Agentic AI frameworks and models (Autogen, LangGraph, LLM), Seldon Core, Spark, Kafka.
Implement deep‑learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, CUDA) and computer‑vision solutions.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, present findings, and translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
Support delivery of AI, ML, automation and LLM projects on major cloud providers.
Requirements
Located in Toronto or Montreal and willing to commence a 4‑month internship in January 2026.
Full‑time enrolment in a post‑secondary institution with return to studies after the internship.
High‑school diploma/GED (minimum education).
Fluent in French for Quebec assignments (optional).
Eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.
Knowledge of cloud export regulations (no employment for foreign nationals from US‑sanctioned countries).
Technical and Professional Expertise
Demonstrated interest or experience in machine learning, statistical analysis or data mining via internships, academic projects, hackathons or publications.
Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (Python preferred) or a strong computer‑science foundation.
Hands‑on experience with GenAI tools (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel) and LLM concepts such as prompt engineering and RAG.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
Eligibility for full‑time work for 4 months starting January 2026.
Preferred Experience
Previous work terms or internships in machine‑learning, computer‑vision or software engineering.
Experience with Python libraries/frameworks: scikit‑learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, PySpark.
Hands‑on R&D; for software demos and prototypes.
Experience delivering AI/ML/LLM solutions on Azure, AWS or GCP.
Familiarity with cloud‑native application development (Kubernetes, Docker, storage).
