Software Developer – Full Stack – Senior | Supply Ontario (Hybrid, Toronto, ON, Canada) We are hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Developer to support Supply Ontario’s Virtual Care Product modernization initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in ReactJS, Java, JDBC, Spring Boot, SMART on FHIR, HL7v2, FHIR APIs, healthcare interoperability, Mirth integration, Pexip APIs, Zoom APIs, and secure healthcare application development. The successful candidate will design, develop, and enhance modern digital health solutions supporting virtual care workflows, clinical integrations, scheduling, patient/provider experiences, and hospital information system connectivity with platforms such as MEDITECH, Epic, and Cerner.

LinkedIn Profile URL (Mandatory) Role Summary The Senior Full Stack Developer will support the modernization of Virtual Care Products by designing and delivering secure, scalable, and interoperable healthcare applications. The consultant will work on frontend and backend development, healthcare system integrations, video platform integrations, clinical workflows, identity-enabled applications, and standards-based healthcare data exchange. This role requires advanced experience building enterprise healthcare solutions using ReactJS, Java Spring Boot, REST APIs, HL7v2, FHIR, SMART on FHIR, Mirth integration engine, and healthcare interoperability standards.

Key Responsibilities Full Stack Application Development (35%)

Design, develop, test, and support ReactJS frontend components for Virtual Care Products.

Build and maintain Java, JDBC, and Spring Boot backend services.

Develop REST APIs, business logic, data access layers, and integration services.

Implement secure, scalable, accessible, and maintainable healthcare applications.

Support application modernization initiatives replacing legacy functionality with up-to-date solutions.

Healthcare Integration & Interoperability (25%)

Design, develop, and troubleshoot HL7v2 interfaces and FHIR API integrations.

Support SMART on FHIR application development and clinical workflow integration.

Integrate with hospital information systems including:

MEDITECH

Epic

Cerner

Support

Patient context handling

Provider context handling

Scheduling workflows





Encounter workflows

Clinical data exchange

Develop and maintain Mirth integration engine components.

Virtual Care & Video Platform Integration (20%)

Integrate Pexip APIs and Zoom APIs into healthcare applications.

Develop virtual care capabilities including:

Waiting rooms

Breakout workflows

Session routing

Meeting initiation

Participant management

Provider handoff workflows

Multi-party clinical encounters

Support video bridge programming and virtual visit orchestration.

Collaborate with video platform teams to enhance digital care delivery.

Security, Identity & Enterprise Integration (10%)

Support NetIQ workflows and identity-enabled application processes.

Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access controls.

Ensure privacy-aware design, audit logging, and secure application practices.

Support IAM workflow integration and enterprise access management.

Testing, Documentation & Delivery Support (10%)

Support unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and production releases.

Participate in code reviews, sprint activities, demos, and defect resolution.
