Position Summary The Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement is undertaking a multi-year initiative to modernize business-critical geospatial applications hosted on the GIS Delivery Platform (GDP). The Senior GIS Systems Analyst and Developer will support the migration of up to 18 Geocortex-based GIS applications to the modern VertiGIS platform, ensuring continued functionality, improved performance, enhanced security, accessibility compliance, and alignment with Ontario Government IT standards. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise across the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, architecture design, application development, testing, deployment, documentation, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities GIS Application Modernization & Development (40%)
Lead the technical upgrade of Geocortex applications to the VertiGIS platform.
Analyze existing GIS applications and recommend modernization approaches.
Design, develop, test, and implement GIS-based solutions.
