This role plans, prepares, and supervises the production and distribution of meals while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, institutional policies, security requirements, and nutritional standards. The Cook Supervisor directs and trains inmate workers and food service staff, maintains inventory controls, and ensures a safe, secure, and efficient kitchen operation.Key responsibilities:Supervise daily food service operations, ensuring meals are prepared and served in accordance with approved menus, nutritional standards, and production schedules.Lead, train,



and oversee food service staff and inmate workers, assigning duties and monitoring performance to ensure efficient operations.Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper food handling, storage, temperature monitoring, and cleaning procedures.Maintain security and accountability of kitchen tools, equipment, food supplies, and chemicalsin accordance with correctional facility policies.Manage inventory and assist with ordering, receiving, and storage of food, supplies, and equipmentto support operational needs.Conduct regular inspections of kitchen facilities and equipmentto ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness.Maintain accurate records and reportsrelated to meal production, inventory, food temperatures, sanitation, and operational activities.Promote a safe and respectful workplaceby enforcing occupational health and safety standards and addressing hazards or incidents promptly.Support emergency response, security procedures, and continuous improvement initiativesto maintain effective and efficient food service operations within the correctional environment.QualificationsWhat You BringMinimum 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in food service operations.Previous supervisory experience preferred.Experience in institutional, healthcare, correctional, military,
