The Assistant

Horticulturist role supports the Lead Horticulturalist at RCC in maintaining gardens and a vegetable program. This full time, on-site position, ideal for physically fit individuals, requires physical stamina and a proactive work ethic. Assist with planning, caring for plant materials, and enhancing landscaped areas to ensure a memorable experience for club members. Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and maintain plant materials and supplies
- Care for flower beds, hanging baskets, and landscapes
- Apply fertilizers and soil amendments for health
- Monitor plant health and control pests
- Operate landscaping equipment effectively Requirements:
- Background or interest in horticulture
- Previous gardening or groundskeeping experience preferred
- Knowledge of West Coast Plant ID is a plus
- Valid BC Drivers License required
