Responsibilities for a Security Guard Conduct patrols in various settings to ensure safety and security.

Monitor and deter suspicious activity, unauthorized access, and criminal behavior.

Respond promptly and effectively to incidents and emergencies.

Maintain accountability for company and client property, including keys, phones, and equipment.





Complete accurate and detailed occurrence reports and daily activity logs.

Patrol critical areas and identify potential security risks.

Verify identification and control access to restricted or secure locations.

Respond to alarms and conduct on-site investigations.

Monitor the proper operation of security systems, alarms, and surveillance cameras.

Work collaboratively with law enforcement and emergency services during serious incidents.

Engage in community outreach and interact professionally with vulnerable populations.

Enforce the Trespass to Property Act and address unauthorized individuals on site.

Demonstrate strong observation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

Qualifications for a Security Guard Be authorized to work in Canada

Hold a valid security license

First aid certification

Ability to stand and walk throughout shift Able to pass an Advanced Use of Force Training Course
