Job Title: Security Guard, part-time permanent position

Shifts will primarily be on Friday & Saturdays; 2-4 shifts per month.

Job Overview:

As a part-time Security Guard at Nottawasaga Inn Resort, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests and staff. You will be responsible for enforcing security measures, monitoring surveillance equipment, and ensuring the overall safety of the premises.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct regular patrols to ensure the security of all areas within the resort premises
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms to detect any suspicious activities to management
- Respond to emergencies and alarms promptly and appropriately
- Enforce resort policies and procedures to maintain order and safety by staff and guests
- Assist guests and employees with security-related issues in a professional manner
- Collaborate with local law enforcement if necessary to evict unwanted persons and/or service of notice under the Trespass to Property Act
- Maintain a journal of activities and provide regular activity reports to management

Requirements:

- Previous experience in law enforcement, loss prevention, surveillance, security,



or CCTV monitoring is preferred
- Robust attention to detail and ability to remain alert always
- Training and legalities of taking physical control of individuals
- Excellent organizational & oral/written communication skills to interact effectively with guests and colleagues; interviewing victims, witnesses, and/or suspects
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally; self-motivated individual
- Working computer knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel programs
- Valid Driver’s Licence, First Aid/CPR certificate is required
- Valid Security Guard license or certification is required
