Senior Azure Integration Engineer – APIM / REST APIs / Azure Functions Hybrid: 2-3days a week in office Role Summary The Integration Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, securing, and supporting integrations across enterprise applications, cloud platforms, mobile applications, data platforms, and GenAI solutions. The role will focus heavily on API development, API Management (APIM), REST API integrations, middleware platforms, and enterprise integration patterns to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable connectivity across the organization.

Key Responsibilities API Design & Development Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and integration services. Define API contracts, specifications, and documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger). Develop reusable APIs and microservices to support enterprise applications.

Implement API versioning, throttling, monitoring, and lifecycle management. API Management (APIM) Configure and manage Azure API Management (APIM). Publish, secure, monitor, and govern enterprise APIs.

Implement API policies for authentication, authorization, rate limiting, logging, and transformation. Collaborate with application teams to onboard APIs to APIM.

Enterprise Integration

Design and implement system-to-system integrations using APIs, middleware, messaging, and event-driven architectures. Integrate cloud,



on-premises, mobile, SaaS, and GenAI platforms. Develop orchestration workflows and integration services. Implement synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns. Middleware & Integration Platforms Develop integrations using platforms such as: Azure Functions/Durable Functions Support real-time, batch, and event-driven integrations.

Security & Governance Implement: OAuth 2.0. OpenID Connect (OIDC). JWT Authentication. Certificate-based Authentication. API Security Best Practices. Ensure compliance with enterprise security, governance, and audit requirements.

Required Skills Integration Technologies REST APIs JSON, XML OpenAPI / Swagger API Lifecycle Management Azure Integration Services Azure API Management (APIM) Logic Apps Azure Functions Service Bus Middleware Platforms Workato API M Azure Functions App Service Development C#, Python, JavaScript, or Java SQL, React GitHub Pipelines Preferred Experience ~8+ years of enterprise integration experience. ~ Experience integrating: ~ Mobile Applications ~ GenAI Platforms ~ Databricks ~ SAP ~ Microsoft 365 ~ Azure Cloud Services Strong understanding of API-led and microservices architectures.

Experience with enterprise architecture and governance practices.
