About OffworldOffworld Industries Ltd. (Offworld) is the independent studio behind the successful military first-person shooter game, “Squad”. Offworld was formed in 2014 by more than 15 developers who had worked together on the well-known Project Reality mod for Battlefield 2. The founding purpose of the team was to bring a standalone successor of this acclaimed mod to market and build a game development studio and a livelihood from that foundation.Fast forward to 2026, Offworld has over 150 employees and is rapidly growing. We have been expanding the studio into serving as a publisher supporting mods and have released our newest title, "Starship Troopers: Extermination", a 16-player PvE first-person shooter based on the 1997 cult-classic film.We are built on passion, unified spirit and continuing efforts to break the mold. We strive to become a leader in creating large-scale multiplayer games as well as supplying others with the ability to do the same. We are looking for a talented 3D Generalist for our current and upcoming Unreal Engine based multiplayer games. If you are passionate about making great games and a team player, we are looking for you!About the roleAs a 3D Generalist at Offworld Industries you will play a crucial role in shaping the visual elements of our projects. You will work closely with art leadership and cross-disciplinary teams to create high-quality 3D assets that support the visual goals of the project. We are looking for an artist with a strong understanding of game art production who can contribute across a range of asset types, from environments, props, weapons, vehicles and character accessories to materials and optimization. The ideal candidate is collaborative, adaptable, and passionate about building immersive,



performant content for large-scale multiplayer experiences.ResponsibilitiesCreate high-quality 3D game assets from blockout to final in-engine implementationModel, sculpt, unwrap, bake, and texture a wide variety of assets, including props, set dressing, and environment piecesWork within established art direction, technical budgets, and production pipelines to deliver visually strong and performant contentCollaborate closely with Art Directors, Leads, Designers, Technical Artists, and other disciplines to ensure assets meet gameplay and technical requirementsOptimize assets, materials, and scene content for performance within Unreal Engine 5Reuse and adapt existing assets, textures, and materials efficiently to support content productionParticipate in art reviews, respond positively to feedback, and help maintain a high visual standard across the projectTroubleshoot asset issues in engine and support polish and bug fixing as neededContribute to the ongoing improvement of workflows, documentation, and production practicesRequirementsStrong portfolio demonstrating high-quality 3D art for gamesProficiency in 3D modeling packages such as Maya, Blender, or equivalentExperience with sculpting tools such as ZBrush or 3D-CoatStrong understanding of UV layout, map baking, and PBR texturing workflowsExperience using Substance Painter and creating game-ready materials and texturesExperience implementing and polishing assets in Unreal Engine 5Experience with hard surface modelingSolid understanding of optimization, texel density, modular workflows,



and game engine limitationsAbility to create visually appealing assets while working within technical constraintsStrong communication skills and a team-oriented approach to developmentAbility to take direction, absorb feedback, and iterate quicklyNice to HaveExperience creating assets for realistic or grounded military gamesHard-surface modelling experience using tools such as Plasticity, Fusion, Shapr3D, or equivalent softwareExperience with foliage, terrain assets, or world-building pipelinesKnowledge of trim sheets, material blending, and modular environment workflowsExperience supporting outsourcing pipelines or reviewing external workPassion for immersive FPS games and large-scale multiplayer experiencesThis is a full-time permanent position, with the requirement to work from our office three days per week.The typical salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 CAD per year and is subject to change.
