Role: Senior Data Architect - Enterprise Data Resilience & Governance
Location: Toronto (Hybrid) Role Overview:
iVedha is seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Architect to lead enterprise-level data architecture assessments with a strong focus on data resilience, disaster recovery, governance, and third-party SaaS platforms. This role is ideal for a senior architecture consultant who possesses deep expertise in enterprise data ecosystems, cloud technologies, and governance frameworks, and can evaluate the resiliency of large-scale data environments.
The successful candidate will work closely with enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure, security, and vendor teams to assess SaaS providers' Disaster Recovery (DR) capabilities, identify architectural gaps, and ensure compliance with enterprise resilience and governance standards. This is a strategic architecture role and is not focused on application development, database administration, or application support. Responsibilities:
Assess the Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity capabilities of third-party SaaS vendors handling enterprise data.
Review vendor architecture documentation, technical designs, operational processes, and resilience strategies.
Evaluate vendor solutions against enterprise data resilience, governance, and Disaster Recovery standards.
Analyze large-scale enterprise data environments and identify architectural, operational, and governance gaps.
Recommend remediation strategies to improve third-party resilience, data protection, and recoverability.
Support enterprise governance, risk management, audit, and compliance initiatives related to vendor technologies.
Participate in architecture reviews, technical discussions, and governance meetings with SaaS vendors and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Cloud, Security, Infrastructure, and Data Governance teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
Prepare and present technical assessments, risk analyses, and executive-level recommendations to business and technology leadership.
Drive best practices for enterprise data architecture, governance, and resilience across cloud-based solutions.
Required
Experience
12–15+ years of experience in Enterprise Data Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or Data Consulting.
Extensive experience working with large-scale enterprise data environments and complex data ecosystems.
Solid background in Enterprise Data Governance, Data Analysis, and Data Architecture.
Experience evaluating Disaster Recovery and resilience strategies for enterprise data platforms.
Experience performing architecture reviews and assessments of third-party SaaS vendors.
Strong understanding of enterprise governance, cloud architecture, and vendor risk management.
Experience collaborating with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and cross-functional technical teams.
Enterprise consulting experience is highly preferred.

Preferred
Qualifications
Experience within Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, or other highly regulated industries.
Experience with SaaS Governance and Third-Party Risk Management.
Knowledge of enterprise data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance.
Familiarity with cloud security, enterprise resilience, and vendor governance best practices.
Certifications in cloud platforms, enterprise architecture (TOGAF), data governance, or security are highly desirable. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
Master's degree is preferred.
