Principal Architect – Loyalty (12 month contract term) We are seeking a Principal Architect to oversee the end‑to‑end architecture of the PC Optimum ecosystem for a 12 month contract term. In this role, you will be a technical leader, driving the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high‑performing solutions that deliver exceptional experiences to our members and front line. You will be responsible for defining and championing a future‑proof cloud‑first architecture.

Define and Champion Architectural Vision: Develop and drive a comprehensive technical architecture for the loyalty ecosystem, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.

Ensure Scalability and Performance: Architect solutions capable of handling the demands of a rapidly growing customer base and evolving business needs, with a focus on performance optimization. Embed security best practices throughout the design and development lifecycle, safeguarding customer data and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Partner closely with PCO product management, digital, engineering, stores, and other key stakeholders, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.



Articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences, effectively communicating the vision, strategy, and design rationale. 8+ years of proven experience architecting and building large‑scale, distributed systems, ideally within the loyalty, retail, or eCommerce space. ~ Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing solutions. ~ AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience with microservices architecture, APIs, and event‑driven systems. ~ Robust experience with data modeling, database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), and data integration patterns. ~ Experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment, with a focus on continuous integration and delivery. ~ On‑site GoodLife Fitness, Basketball & Volleyball courts, Ice Rink, groceries delivered to work via PC Express, dry cleaning services (1PCC Office) Tuition Reimbursement & Online Learning Pension &
