This 116-year-old, non-profit organization has an annual operating budget of over $70 million dollars and generates revenue through four activity streams: the 15‑day annual summer Fair which averages more than 700,000 people annually, Playland amusement park which welcomes 400,000 guests annually including Fright Nights, and a busy year‑round portfolio of events including concerts, trade shows and film, cultural and community events. The PNE is proud of the work it does at Hastings Park and has a vibrant team that is passionate about events, guest experience and delivering memorable experiences.Job DescriptionFull‑Time; PermanentDatePosted: July 8, 2026The Assistant Manager, Marketing reports to the Manager, Marketing and plays a key role in supporting the planning, execution, and optimization of integrated marketing and promotional initiatives across the PNE’s self‑produced events and business streams, including Playland, Fright Nights, PNE Fair, and PNE Lotteries. This role also supports promotional activity for third‑party events hosted at Hastings Park venues.This position bridges strategy and execution, partnering closely with Marketing, Creative, and Digital teams to deliver high‑quality, on‑brand campaigns that drive attendance, ticket sales, and positive brand impressions. and audience engagementAssist in the development, execution, and measurement of integrated creative campaigns across digital, social, web, email, experiential, and traditional channelsLead development and execution of email marketing and website content, including writing, building, deploying, and analyzing performanceSupport ongoing social media activity for PNE events and promotionsPlan, manage, and execute media buys for PNE brands, including reviewing proposals, coordinating creative delivery, trafficking ads, and managing timelinesWork with media sponsors and partners to support on‑site activations, including coordination of signage, site access, power, staging, and operational logistics through internal and external teamsCoordinate marketing projects across internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth execution and timely deliveryAct as a day‑to‑day point of contact for assigned marketing initiatives, keeping stakeholders informed and working on trackContribute to process improvements, documentation, templates, and marketing best practices to enable team efficiency and consistencyPrepare reports, insights, and recommendations to inform ongoing optimization and future planningSupport and mentor junior marketing team members through day‑to‑day collaboration, guidance, and knowledge sharingAct as a go‑to resource for executional questions, champion best practices across campaigns and channelsPerform other related duties as requiredThis role is required to be on‑site at the PNE a minimum of 3 days/weekA valid BC driver’s license is an assetQualificationsMust have a Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications,

The role is a permanent, full‑time position with a typical salary range of $65,000 - $70,000 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, experience, and internal pay structures.
