Job Overview: The Advisor, Capital Assets is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for supporting the accounting, reporting, and financial management of capital projects and capital assets. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of capital expenditures, construction work in progress (CWIP), fixed asset balances, and related financial reporting. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted accounting advisor, partnering closely with Capital Management, Fixed Assets, Financial Reporting, FP&A, Regulatory, Tax, and project teams to support month-end close activities, complex accounting analyses, audit requirements,
and continuous process improvement initiatives. This position requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented skilled who can independently research accounting issues, resolve complex transactions, strengthen controls, and provide technical guidance to accounting team members. The role offers a unique combination of project accounting and capital asset accounting responsibilities, including support for capitalization activities, cost transfers, AFUDC/IDC accounting, asset unitization, depreciation, retirements, and balance remediation initiatives.
