What you'll do

- Collaborate with the engineering team to assist in the design and development of custom electronic enclosures, focusing on functionality and manufacturability.
- Participate in the prototyping process, including creating and testing prototypes to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed engineering drawings and models that will be used in the manufacturing process.
- Conduct research and analysis to support engineering projects, including material selection and performance testing.
- Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including project reports, specifications, and user manuals.
- Support the quality assurance team by participating in inspections and testing of finished products to ensure they meet customer requirements.
- Engage in team meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process optimization and efficiency gains.

Requirements

- Currently enrolled in an engineering program (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) at a recognized university or college.




- Solid understanding of engineering principles and practices, with a focus on design and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) for creating 3D models and technical drawings.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey technical information to team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Detail‑oriented mindset with a commitment to producing high‑quality work.

Nice to have

- Previous experience in a co‑op or internship role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with electronic components and systems, particularly in relation to custom enclosures.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, and assembly techniques.

Skills & tools

- Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Basic understanding of programming languages (such as Python or C++) is a plus
- Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies
