Senior Project Manager – Strategic Projects (Nuclear) Salary: Up to 176,000

Hybrid: Yes, 3 Days on-site

About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – Strategic Projects (Nuclear) to lead high-impact initiatives that support growth, operational excellence, and strategic expansion within the nuclear industry. This role is ideal for a project management professional who thrives at the intersection of strategy, commercial execution, and stakeholder engagement.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the successful candidate will play a key role in defining, prioritizing, and executing complex strategic projects that drive business growth, strengthen customer relationships, and support long-term organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Project Leadership

Lead major nuclear industry projects involving facility design, construction, refurbishment, expansion, life extension, renovation, and component replacement.

Translate business objectives into structured project plans, schedules, budgets, and execution strategies.

Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to established quality standards.

Provide project leadership across multiple concurrent initiatives and maintain visibility of portfolio-level performance.

Project Planning & Execution

Develop and manage project plans, schedules, resource requirements, and deliverables.

Coordinate project activities involving personnel, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.

Define project scope, milestones, responsibilities, and performance expectations.





Utilize established project management methodologies and best practices to achieve project objectives.

Stakeholder & Client Management

Act as the primary interface between project teams, senior leadership, customers, and external stakeholders.

Facilitate effective communication and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Support executive-level decision-making through clear analysis, reporting, and recommendations.

Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.

Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow performance.

Identify project risks and opportunities and implement mitigation strategies as required.

Ensure commercial objectives and financial targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of execution.

Technical & Continuous Improvement

Apply technical expertise to identify innovative solutions that support asset lifecycle management and modernization initiatives.

Participate in resolving technical and operational challenges impacting project execution.

Contribute to business growth by identifying opportunities to enhance services, technologies, and customer value.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering,



Project Management, Business, or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of project management experience within a technical, engineering, or industrial environment.

Demonstrated experience leading complex, multidisciplinary projects.

Robust understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and project controls.

Knowledge of nuclear industry safety requirements and regulatory environments.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis capabilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

Experience within the nuclear power industry.

Knowledge of the CANDU nuclear ecosystem.

International business or project experience.

MBA or equivalent advanced business education.

Professional Project Management certification or willingness to obtain and maintain certification.

Compensation

Competitive salary ranging from

$129,000 to $176,000 annually , based on qualifications, experience, and location.
