Pay Details

$142,800 - $176,800 CAD. Reflects a temporary market premium specific to this role, reassessed annually.

Department Overview

Reporting to the Vice President Human Resources, TD Securities, the Human Resources Business Partner works in close partnership with Capital Markets senior leaders and relevant partners to develop and execute people strategies, including the implementation of HR programs and initiatives that align to business objectives.

This role is a key member of the TD Securities Human Resources team and will work with the business partners to provide balanced and practical solutions for a range of human resources issues. As a key partner, the Senior HR Business Partner's responsibilities include providing strategic and consultative support to the TD Securities Technology business on HR initiatives to drive business value and growth. The role will liaise with Centers of Excellence on all aspects of HR including talent development, resource and succession planning, recruitment, total rewards, employee relations and performance management.

Responsibilities

- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with enterprise-wide HR objectives and TD Bank Group business strategies.
- Work closely with senior leadership and act as trusted advisor across all aspects of HR, people planning, and management.
- Partner with HR colleagues to influence and implement programs, policies, and practices.
- Support attraction, development, and retention of talent; ensure diversity is a high priority.
- Monitor HR measures to assess effectiveness of strategies and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
- Anticipate HR implications of business strategies and advise leadership accordingly.




- Enable effective talent planning and develop succession plans for key positions.
- Address concerns of multiple stakeholders and provide high quality HR advice and support.
- Participate on internal and external committees and project teams as appropriate.
- Stay abreast of new HR developments and external strategies.

Job Requirements

- Undergraduate degree; Master’s in Business Administration is an asset.
- 10+ years of experience in Human Resource management with deep understanding across multiple disciplines.
- Proven leadership of large change programs and processes in partnership with the business.
- Demonstrated client relationship management at the executive level and interaction with diverse groups.
- Ability to develop and execute strategies and deliver superior results in short and long term, aligned with business strategies.
- Supported attraction, development, and retention of talent; partner with business leaders to ensure right people, place, time, and diversity.
- Proven ability to develop and deploy a vision and align others.
- Creative thought leadership and ability to engage others for vision shaping.
- Comfortable operating in a large, complex matrixed organization.
- Strong communicator engaging colleagues, partners, stakeholders, and employees.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence.
