Based in Vancouver, British Columbia or Calgary, Alberta, and reporting to the Head of Credit Execution, Western Canada, the successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic, bring seasoned credit judgement, solid execution capabilities and demonstrated proficiency operating independently in a dynamic team-based setting. The Associate Director will be expected to lead and assist in actively managing a wide variety of complex senior debt lending mandates, support portfolio oversight, coordinate effectively with senior internal stakeholders and contribute to the development of junior team members.



Working hours are dictated by portfolio and transaction demands under a hybrid work arrangement, with days both in the office and at home. Additionally, occasional travel for client and team meetings will be required. Your job: Support National Client Group, Western Canada team members (Execution and Relationship Management) in managing and growing an existing portfolio of relationships (both bilateral & syndicated); Work closely with financial advisors, private equity sponsors and internal banking partners (i.E.: cash management, commodities & derivatives, debt capital markets, equity capital markets, investment banking and loan syndications) to perform required due diligence on prospective opportunities; Prepare financial models, borrower risk ratings and credit analysis to support new transactions, amendments, annual reviews and other portfolio requests; Work independently to complete complex, high-quality credit analysis, underwriting and credit documentation review for existing and new lending opportunities & mandates; Engage with Credit Risk Management to obtain authorization on transactions in accordance with the
