Full-Time Opportunity | On-site in Vancouver, BC |Salary:$100,000–$115,000/annum | Must hold a valid Canadian Work VisaOur client, a leading global maritime transportation and ship management organization, is seeking aCloud Data Administratorto join its growing Data Operations team.This role is responsible for administering and supporting an enterprise Azure-based data platform with a focus on Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog. The successful candidate will combine expertise in cloud data platforms, data engineering, and platform administration to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable data operations that support enterprise analytics and business intelligence initiatives.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cloud data qualified who enjoys working across platform administration, data engineering, automation, governance, and stakeholder collaboration within a modern Azure ecosystem.ResponsibilitiesAdminister and support Azure-based data platforms, ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of enterprise data servicesConfigure, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot Azure Databricks workflows, pipelines, and automated jobs to maximize platform uptimeAdminister Azure Databricks environments, including cluster management, user access, permissions, and Unity Catalog configurationDesign, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory (ADF)Implement and maintain Delta Lake solutions to support reliable, high-performance, and ACID-compliant data operationsDevelop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and integrate structured and semi-structured data from multiple enterprise sourcesSupport API integrations and configure API connections using Azure API Management (APIM)



and RESTful servicesMaintain enterprise data lake and data warehouse environments while ensuring data quality, integrity, and performanceImplement secure access controls using Azure RBAC, Managed Identities, Service Principals, Azure Key Vault, and Unity CatalogApply data governance, auditing, security, and compliance best practices across the cloud data platformSupport CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions to automate data platform deployments and operational workflowsCollaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists, and BI teams to understand business requirements and deliver scalable technical solutionsProduce technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer materials to support ongoing platform administration and future enhancementsQualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related disciplineMinimum 4 years of experience in cloud data engineering, cloud data platform administration, or analytics engineeringStrong experience administeringAzure Databricksenvironments, including cluster management, workflows, job scheduling, and monitoringHands-on experience designing and developing data pipelines usingAzure Data Factory (ADF)Proficiency withPySpark ,Spark SQL, and Apache Spark optimization techniquesExperience working withDelta Lake, Lakehouse architecture,
