AECOM is seeking aWastewater Treatment Engineerto support and advance technical delivery within our BC Water Team. This role may be based inKelowna, Burnaby, or Victoria, and offers the chance to work on complex water treatment projects alongside Technical Leads and multidisciplinary teams across British Columbia.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a technical resource providing specialized input to municipal wastewater treatment studies, designs, and infrastructure projects.Independently complete discipline‑specific components of wastewater treatment projects, including process design, analysis, and modeling.Apply regulations, guidelines, and best practices in the development of compliant treatment solutions.Participate in interdisciplinary reviews to ensure technical integration, constructability, and quality of deliverables.Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, specifications, and calculations related to potable water treatment systems.Perform quality control reviews of work prepared by others.Develop construction cost estimates, technical effort estimates, and provide input to project budgets and schedules.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project staff.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.A minimum of6 years of related experience, ordemonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education,



in wastewater treatment or closely related fields.Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia, or ability to obtain registration within 6 months.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s or PhD degree in a related field with a focus on wastewater treatment.10+ years of experience in wastewater treatment engineering, with a focus on developing client focused solutions while achieving modeling and regulatory compliance.Experience with treatment modeling software and data analysis tools.Solid understanding of treatment processes, system design, and performance evaluation.Ability to work independently and exercise sound engineering judgment.Experience supporting municipal treatment or infrastructure projects.Familiarity with BC and Canadian regulatory frameworks, guidelines, and approval quality regulations and approval processes.Experience preparing technical specifications, design packages, and construction cost estimates.Demonstrated ability to mentor junior staff and contribute to technical excellence within a team environment.As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we believe in your potential and are here to help you achieve it.
