This role provides primary advisory support to Operations, Corporate, Estate Wineries, and Retail teams nationally (shared with the BC EHS Manager), helping leaders build a strong, proactive safety culture while ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with business strategy.This national role supports 1,400+ teammates across diverse operations at Andrew Peller Limited, with the opportunity to shape safety culture and sustainability strategy across the organization. You'll work in a collaborative setting with strong leadership support while making a meaningful impact on employee wellbeing and operational excellence.What The Teammate Will Be Responsible ForLead development, implementation, and maintenance of national Health & Safety, Environmental, and Sustainability policies and programsServe as primary EHS advisor to assigned stakeholder groups and additional advisor nationallyOwn and administer the EHS compliance management systemPartner with People & Culture to deliver onboarding and ongoing EHS training programsPromote and strengthen a culture of safety through leadership, education,



and continuous improvement initiativesDevelop and advance APL's sustainability framework aligned with business strategyMonitor and maintain national EHS management systems, metrics, and reporting for senior leadershipConduct audits across business units and support corrective action planningCollaborate with Joint Health & Safety Committees across locationsLead or support incident investigations and root cause analysisMaintain compliance with applicable legislation and regulatory requirements, including engagement with agencies such as Ontario Ministry of Labour and Workplace Safety and Insurance BoardSupport risk assessment programs and job task analysis processesPartner with People & Culture on WSIB claims management processesWhat skills, experience and knowledge this teammate will bring3+ years of experience in occupational health & safety program development and implementationExperience conducting workplace safety audits and risk assessmentsBackground in environmental and sustainability initiativesStrong working knowledge of Ontario OHSA, WSIB requirements, and applicable CSA standardsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all organizational levelsAbility to balance urgency with thoughtful, compliant decision-makingExperience supporting incident investigations and corrective action planningProficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS management systemsWorking knowledge of GMP and HACCP standards is an assetEducation & CredentialsCanadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)
