Experienced Process

Engineer with 10+ years of expertise in refining and petrochemical processes, specializing in process engineering, design development, and project execution. Skilled in process simulation tools such as HYSYS and ProMax, with strong capabilities in technical problem-solving, project leadership, and optimizing process efficiency, reliability, and costs. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, mentor engineering teams, and deliver high-quality solutions in fast-paced environments.

Lead the development and delivery of all Process Engineering deliverables on mid- to large-size projects or proposals, with no supervision.

Process

Engineering scope commonly includes all phases of design development, from conceptual engineering through front-end and detailed engineering, and including field support of startup and performance testing efforts.



Contribute to the development of project pursuits and cost estimates by, for instance, rapidly developing the basis of design, simulation, material balances, PFDs, equipment type specification and initial sizing, P&ID; development, process manhour estimating, and supporting the pursuit of client report generation. Lead the identification of changes to the scope of work during project execution.

Identify creative design solutions that optimize project capital or operating costs, equipment reliability, or project schedule. Apply technical/technologies to improve processes and business results. Review and correct the work of engineers and designers as needed for the project.

Develops the technical abilities of less experienced engineers during the execution of projects. Regularly perform reviews of vendor documents to ensure technical requirements are met. Provide resolution of technical issues associated with design, construction, equipment and/or operations of refining and petrochemical processes.

Initiate meetings within own team, other disciplines or internal customers to clearly convey work progress and future plan. High A minimum of experience in SAGD, oil sands, and heavy/crude oil is required ~ Travel ~ Ability to self-direct work without supervision. ~ Can provide guidance, leadership and training to less experienced engineers. ~ Education/Training/Certifications ~ Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.

Work overtime and weekends as required. #
