As a Senior Product Line Manager 2 – Men's Trail, you lead a team that creates global, long‑range, profitable seasonal assortments and line plans across assigned product categories. You develop strategies that align with the merchandising vision, focus on consumer needs, and bring innovative solutions to market. Your team drives innovation through collaborative partnerships that establish Arc’TERYX as a world‑class retailer and guide the product experience across all channels.

This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

Meet Your Future Team

The Product Line Management team determines and delivers the right product at the right place and time. In partnership with the Merchant team, PLM delivers product lines that support the overall design creative direction while driving company sales, gross margin, and inventory productivity goals on a global scale. The high‑performing team works closely with Design, Product Creation, Development, Costing, and Sourcing to bring the product vision to life through future seasonal line plans.

Responsibilities

- Creating successful mid‑term merchandising strategies (2‑4 year plans) across all business units for your categories and product areas (2+ functions/categories).
- Mentoring, training, and supporting Associate PLMs and PLMs across the team.
- Partnering with Merchandising and Planning teams across all global business channels to execute on dedicated product categories and deliver on our 5‑year brand vision in addition to sales, gross margin, and inventory productivity goals.
- Determining and managing the product lifecycle for each model, from development to commercialization to redesign, replacement, or retirement.
- Partnering on overall strategic direction on seasonal selling plans and supporting our strategies (grow, diminish, hold, exit, launch) (sell‑thru vs sell‑in).
- Providing a global product framework and assortment structure that guides merchant execution within retail, wholesale key accounts, and digital channels to maximize sales, profit, and global brand positioning.
- Researching and analyzing the global marketplace,



identifying key consumer and market insights to inform concept work and development of new products and the range.
- Writing and presenting product briefs for each new product category strategy, seasonal storytelling focus, and brand vision.
- Developing and sustaining a close relationship with Design and Development teams during the seasonal design process to ensure products are aligned with the briefs proposed.
- Developing and delivering product presentations for key calendar touchpoints that inspire and deliver critical information to internal stakeholders to ensure successful development of seasonal assets and plans.
- Maintaining effective partnerships with Visual Merchandising, Design, Development, Brand Marketing, and Colour teams to ensure seasonal strategies come to life in all channels and regions.
- Owning the global go‑to‑market product knowledge and providing Global Commercial teams and partners with sell‑in tools and product information consistently across all channels.
- Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arc’TERYX supply chain.

Future Work

- Partnering with senior leaders to establish new ways of working with on‑ and off‑calendar categories across Commercial, Research & Development, Creative, and Product Creation Development teams.
- Leading the GTM process and advising on GTM tools for best‑in‑class market and consumer impact.

Qualifications

- 8+ years in a merchandising environment with product‑led brands and 3+ years leading a team or function.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills, able to facilitate work across many internal departments and external key accounts and vendors.
- Creative and strategic thinker, influencer, consensus builder, and excellent team player.
- Excellent knowledge of retail math concepts; sell‑through, cost of goods, and open‑to‑buy process.




- Highly organized, effective time manager, strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proven track record in developing and leading a team to execute a multi‑year business strategy.
- Excellent understanding of the active apparel market within the outdoor industry and the key outdoor activities the brand serves.
- Solid knowledge of the design and development process.
- Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel).
- Willing and able to travel as required (trade shows, key dealer presentations, vendor meetings, core consumer events).
- Ability to identify root causes of issues and develop solutions.
- Highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity.
- Balance autonomy and collaboration effectively.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is CAD$125,000 – CAD$164,000.
