The final salary offered will be determined based on a holistic assessment of the candidate’s experience, education, training, and alignment with the role’s requirements. Toronto Hydro is seeking a Manager, Total Rewards to play a key role in shaping how Toronto Hydro rewards, supports, and engages its people. This is an opportunity to lead a high-performing team to deliver and evolve the organization’s compensation and benefits programs to support organizational success. Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards & Performance, this role drives compensation planning, market benchmarking, and program execution. The role oversees benefits programs for both active employees and retirees, including vendor management and recommendations that enhance employee experience, governance, and cost integrity. Accountability also includes the job evaluation system and providing expert guidance on salary recommendations. The Manager, Total Rewards supports key strategic initiatives, including collective bargaining and regulatory applications. This posting is for an existing vacancy. Key Responsibilities Leads a team of compensation and benefits professionals and support team members, including management of day-to-day activities and projects. Provides coaching and feedback to motivate and engage employee outcomes in the attainment of team goals and objectives. Supports the development of a comprehensive Total Rewards strategy that aligns compensation, benefits, wellness, recognition, pension, work-life programs, and career rewards with organizational objectives and talent priorities. Manages the job evaluation and market data review process and collaborates with HR Business Partners on salaries for new hires and employee movements.
Leads the annual performance-based compensation review process including incentive programs Provides strategic leadership and recommendations on compensation, benefits, recognition, wellness, and retirement programs to enhance employee attraction, engagement, retention, and overall employee value proposition. Manages external benefits provider and consultant vendor relationships including contract negotiations Partners with HR stakeholders on collective bargaining, including managing costings with respect to total rewards and the implementation of the finalized collective agreement in the areas of compensation and benefits. Supports the regulatory process by leading the team providing total rewards information in the creation of regulatory evidence and proceedings. Requirements University bachelor's degree with a degree or diploma in Human Resources or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed equivalent. Minimum seven (7) to ten (10) years professional level experience in human resources, including compensation, perks and job evaluation. Progressive leadership experience, including project leadership experience Experience with job design and human resources analytics (strongly preferred) Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and/or Certified Compensation/Benefits Professional (strongly preferred) Thorough knowledge and experience with compensation, job evaluation, reward strategies, benefits processes and programs Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail, data analysis,

Employees will be required to come onsite Tuesday to Thursday. You are expected to live in Ontario and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
