We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional technology initiatives from planning through delivery. This role is ideal for a project manager with a strong technical foundation, proven leadership skills, and experience managing software development, infrastructure, or systems integration projects. The successful candidate will collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.

Location: Mississauga, ON (hybrid)

Duration: 06 Months (Possible Extension/Conversion)

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Delivery

- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables, and success criteria in partnership with business and technology stakeholders.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, budgets, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Drive projects through the entire lifecycle—from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and successful delivery.
- Ensure projects remain on track by proactively managing scope, timelines, budgets, and quality.

Team & Stakeholder Management

- Lead cross-functional teams consisting of software engineers, infrastructure teams, architects, QA, and business partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project communications and stakeholder management.
- Facilitate project meetings, including kick-offs, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, steering committee meetings, and retrospectives.
- Communicate technical concepts and project status effectively to both technical and executive audiences.

Technical Leadership & Risk Management

- Develop a strong understanding of the project's technical architecture, dependencies, and implementation approach.




- Partner with technical leads to resolve technical challenges and remove delivery roadblocks.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while developing contingency plans when needed.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, business objectives, and technical requirements.

Reporting & Process Improvement

- Track project performance using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Project.
- Produce regular status reports covering project health, milestones, risks, issues, budget, and resource utilization.
- Manage scope changes through established governance and change management processes.
- Conduct project retrospectives and document lessons learned to improve future project execution.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience managing complex technical projects involving software development, infrastructure, or systems integration.
- Robust understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience working with Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Demonstrated success managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

- PMP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or other relevant project management certifications.
- Experience managing cloud-based projects in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Previous hands-on experience as a Software Engineer, Developer, or Technical Lead.
- Experience within the banking or financial services industry.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
