We offer a competitive salary, learning opportunities, and a range of benefits.The Position:Neelands is searching for a313A Refrigeration Service Apprentice Term 4, 5 or Journeymanto join our team servicing theBarrie area. This position is regular, full time.Reporting to the Senior Manager, Service, the Service Technician will work closely with the team on repair, install, troubleshoot and preventative maintenance of refrigeration systems.
This role requires the individual to be available during the weekdays from 7:30am – 5:30pm for “on-call” and after-hours service calls from dispatch and/or prescheduled assignments.Responsibilities:Response to service calls and scheduled maintenance and repairs for refrigeration and mechanical equipmentPerform diagnostics to detect malfunctions and defects in equipment such as CO2 racks, Condensers, Evaporator fans, Glycol Racks, Expansion TanksTroubleshoot to ensure the system is functioning properly following repairsPerform schedule and unscheduled repair and maintenance on refrigeration, and mechanical equipmentEffectively communicate and update all information regarding assignments to the teamProvide recommendations and assist estimator with information on quoteBuild and maintain positive relationship with customers or clientsMaintain service vehicle inventory and cleanlinessOther duties as requiredQualifications:313A Apprentice Term 4 or 5G2 or G1 Gas Technician Licence requiredSupermarket refrigeration experience is strongly preferredValid G license with a clean driver abstractWhat you Bring to the Team:A self-starter who is highly effective working independently and within a teamFlexibility, along with the ability to operate well under pressureStrong problem-solving abilitiesAbility to perform in a high pressure, fast-paced environmentA keen attention to detailPensionEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Professional Development and TrainingNeelands Group Limited is committed to providing accessible employment practices that comply with Accessibility standards and regulations.
