What you will do:
- Provide operational leadership and management of the Emergency Duty Team, ensuring effective out-of-hours social work provision
- Make complex safeguarding decisions in relation to children and adults at risk, ensuring compliance with statutory frameworks
- Oversee and quality assure assessments, interventions, and recording, maintaining high professional standards
- Lead on critical incident management, including strategy discussions and emergency placements where required
- Supervise, support and develop social workers and EDT practitioners, ensuring ongoing professional development
Person Specification
Qualifications:
- Degree in Social Work (or equivalent)
- Professional qualification recognised by Social Work England
Registration & Compliance:
- Registered with Social Work England
- Sound knowledge of key legislation include:
- Children Act 1989 & 2004
- Care Act 2014
- Mental Capacity Act 2005
- Working Together to Safeguard Children
- Understanding of safeguarding frameworks for both children and adults.
