Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a current permanent position available for a Social Worker within the SEND Service to work full time based in Redbridge.

The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £54,056 per annum.

- The Experienced SEND Social Worker sits within SEND Social Care Team, responsible for ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of social care advice and contributions to the Education, Health & Care Needs Assessment and review process.
- This role requires close collaboration with colleagues across Social Care, SEND Services and the Designated Social Care Officer to ensure that children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities SEND receive appropriate and effective support.
- Produce high-quality Social Care Advice to support Education, Health & Care Needs Assessments.
- Gather and analyse social care history and relevant information for children undergoing EHC assessments.
- Review case histories for children known to Children’s Social Care and determine the appropriate social care contribution.
- Work closely with the DSCO to support SEND-related social care functions.
- Respond promptly to queries and requests from professionals, parents and partner agencies.
- Assess information and prioritise requests for Social Care Advice, ensuring timely and appropriate action.
- Ensure all case notes and documentation are up to date.
- Monitor the completion and timelines of Social Care Advice requests.
- Maintain accurate performance data and support compliance monitoring.




- Ensure statutory deadlines and service standards are consistently met.
- Undertake ongoing training and professional development to meet the evolving needs of children and young people with SEND.
- Keep up to date with legislation, policy changes and best practice in SEND and Children’s Social Care.
- Attend SEND Panels and contribute to decision-making discussions.
- Liaise with professionals to resolve queries and support statutory processes.
- Assess and prioritise referrals and requests for advice and monitor assessment deadlines.
- Support the DSCO and wider SEND service as required.

Requirements of this Social Worker job:

- A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Social Work England registered.
