About the role
Reporting to the Vice President, the Quality Director develops, implements and maintains a quality vision and strategies for the organization to sustain its manufacturing performance and its strong reputation in the North American market. In this capacity, they design, structure, implement and maintain a high-performance quality system across all company activities.

Responsibilities
- Build and develop a competent, high-performing quality team and supervise the quality team.
- Develop a strategy to establish a culture focused on prevention and continuous improvement.
- Define a quality roadmap, implementing processes and quality management tools aimed at achieving company objectives.
- Collaborate in establishing training programs and ensure these programs incorporate quality requirements.
- Ensure compliance and continuous improvement of the quality management system to meet standards and industry requirements.
- Collaborate with other members of the management team for company management and the achievement of objectives and targets.
- Work closely with after-sales teams to support customers.
- Implement key performance indicators.
- Establish processes aimed at preventing and effectively resolving quality issues.
- In partnership with procurement, develop strategies, audits and follow-ups with suppliers to ensure incoming parts comply with our requirements; in case of deviations, take necessary actions to implement appropriate corrective measures by suppliers.
- Ensure appropriate visibility at all levels and clear communication of deviations and key quality system indicators; ensure that appropriate actions are taken by the relevant departments to continuously improve quality.
- Write and update the quality policy; coordinate efforts to maintain ISO certification on an ongoing basis.
- Participate in continuous process improvement.
- Perform any other related duties.
Candidate profile
Education: University degree, preferably in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, operations management or manufacturing engineering.
Experience: Ten (10) years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing company, including at least five (5) years as a team manager.
Other requirements

- Proven ability to provide leadership and direction regarding the development and implementation of operational processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy and persuasive ability.
- Highly developed organizational skills and robust analytical mindset.
- Skilled communicator able to simplify complex information; influential and an excellent team player.
- Availability to travel outside the province (approximately 10%).
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English.
- Membership in a quality assurance association is an asset.
