Position Information This is a corporate position.

Rotation/Shifts Days, evenings and nights, including weekends, 8 hour shifts. Must be available for on-call weekends, and statutory holidays.

Basic Requirements

- Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario;




- Eligible for registration in abdomen plus at least one other specialty with Sonography Canada and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- Experience in abdomen plus at least one other specialty;
- Ability to assist in invasive procedures;
- Knowledge of septic and aseptic techniques;
- Good knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound equipment both mobile and static;
- Certification in CPR;
- Good written, verbal and presentation skills;
- Sound judgement and problem-solving abilities;
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Eligible to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

- MSK experience;
- Experience with bowel studies;
- Experience in a hospital environment;
- Proficiency in English and French oral expression (level 4 - advanced) and comprehension (level 4 - advanced).

The Ottawa Hospital uses a 5-level language proficiency scale to define the required level of language skills in English and in French for positions at the Hospital, and to evaluate job candidate language skills.
