Cala Counselling is a relational, trauma-informed psychotherapy practice grounded in presence, attachment, and depth-oriented work. We support clients in building safer relationships with themselves and others through somatic awareness, parts-based work, and compassionate inquiry.

We are currently inviting a Spanish-speaking Associate Therapist (Independent Contractor) to join our growing practice in Kitsilano.

About the Role

This is a part-time associate position with the opportunity to grow into a fuller caseload over time. The Associate Therapist will provide individual and/or couples counselling services in both English and Spanish while practicing under the Cala Counselling brand.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking clinicians who align with Cala Counselling's relational and depth-oriented values.

Required Qualifications

- Registered or qualifying clinician in good standing (RCC)
- Fluent Spanish speaker (native or high fluency)
- Qualified liability insurance with minimum $3M coverage
- Strong ethical and professional practice standards
- Comfort working with relational and emotional depth
- Availability for in-person work in Vancouver

Strongly Preferred

- Interest or experience in couples therapy
- Interest or experience in family therapy and/or parenting




- Somatic, attachment-based, trauma-informed, or relational clinical orientation

Schedule and Availability This role includes a combination of in-person and virtual work.

In-Person Availability

- 2 or 3 in-person days per week (schedule to be coordinated)

Virtual Availability Additional online therapy days may be added based on mutual availability and clinician preference.

Weekly Availability Expectations

- Minimum availability: approximately 10 client hours per week
- Preferred availability: 15 or more client hours per week

Evening Availability At least one evening per week is expected (until 6:00pm or later) to meet client demand.

Compensation and Support

- 60/40 revenue split (Associate / Practice)
- Monthly payout
- Furnished office space provided
- Booking, billing, and payment processing managed by the Practice
- Website listing and marketing exposure

This role is well suited for clinicians who want to grow their caseload while maintaining autonomy and grounded clinical work.
