Reporting to the Hardware Engineering Manager, the Database Coordinator is responsible for the accuracy, entry, and control of data in OSI’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) database PDXpert®.
RESPONSIBILITIES Enter and control part data in the Company’s PLM
Create and edit Bills of Materials (BOMs) in the PLM based on Engineering design artifacts
Collect, consolidate, and process drawings, redlines, and data provided by multiple stakeholders
Write Change Requests (CR’s) and Change Notices (CN’s) based on stakeholder input
Track and manage tasking and approval status of CR’s and CN’s
Track and manage aging tasks in the Company’s PLM
Participate in Change Control Board (CCB) meetings
Ensure completeness and accuracy of artifacts that support part creation, BOMs, and change management
Follow defined configuration management processes
Develop KPI’s regarding quality of data inputs and task completion




Recommend improvements to part and data flow processes
KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS University or College graduate, with technical focus an asset
3+ years’ experience in Product/Project Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electronics Manufacturing, Aeronautics, Automotive, Marine, or similar industry
Ability to obtain NATO Security Clearance
High level of attention to detail, with an eye for accuracy
Experience with PLM databases and Document Control
Experience with Engineering Configuration and Change Management
Experience with Solidworks PDM or other PDM an asset
Ability to work in a team environment and respond positively to tight deadlines
Proficient with MS Office suite
Strong oral and written communication skills
